

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher Lee Fleming, aged 35, of Norfolk, Virginia. Christopher departed this life on March 3, 2026, following a prolonged and valiant struggle resulting from a catastrophic motocross accident while on active duty in Hawaii with The United States Army.
Born on November 12, 1990, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, Christopher resided in Norfolk, Virginia, under the care of his parents, Carl and Margaret Fleming. Christopher possessed a profound passion for motocross, finding solace and freedom on a dirt bike. Renowned for his daring spirit, he constantly pursued new jumps and adventures.
This same courage and determination defined his service in the United States Army, where he approached life with resilience, loyalty, and pride. Whether navigating a dirt track or serving his country, Christopher lived boldly, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
An ardent outdoorsman, Christopher cherished nature and shared hunting expeditions with his father. His amiable nature and generous heart endeared him to his family.
Christopher is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bob and Sandy Fleming, and maternal grandmother, Peggy McCroby. He is survived by his parents, Carl and Margaret Fleming, sister Holly Leland (Josh), niece Aria Leland, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Though Christopher is no longer with us, his light will forever shine in our memories. He will be deeply missed. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
