Darlene Parrish Sullivan

Chesapeake ~ Darlene Parrish Sullivan peacefully passed on to her heavenly home on February 25, 2008 after her courageous battle with cancer. Darlene was surrounded by family and friends in her home. She was born June 28, 1948 in Louisville, KY to the late Marvin C. Parrish. Darlene was also predeceased by a brother, W.C. "Buddy" Parrish and her beloved son, Toby C. Sullivan. Darlene is survived by her husband of 40 years, Russell J. Sullivan, Sr. and their son, Russell J. "RJ" Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Andrea, all of Chesapeake. Their daughter, Shannon D. Williams and her children, Gates A., Taite D., and Ethan H. Williams. She is also survived by her mother, Edna B. Parrish; sister, Sherrie L. Castilloux; and a sister-in-law, Sandra L. Parrish, all of Virginia Beach. Darlene is also survived by her brother, Marvin D. Parrish and his wife, Bernadette of Cheyenne, WY. Her youngest sister, Debra J. Horner of Young Harris, GA. Darlene is also survived by many family members and friends whom she loved very much. Immy, her four-legged companion, will miss her more than anyone can really know. A celebration of Darlene's life will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., with Rev. A.C. Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in their family plot in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-9:00 PM, Friday, February 29, 2008 in the funeral home. Everyone is invited to return to the funeral home for a reception immediately following the services.
