Donald Jay Blom

Don Blom passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022 at the age of 62. Don was an avid cook often cooking exquisite meals. He pursued his love for cooking in the restaurant industry and later became an independent vendor at Harborfest, Chesapeake Jubilee, and Neptune festival under the name "Big Dons". Later in life he became a truck driver for many years before retiring. He ventured out one more time working for Jackson Hewitt before hanging up his hat once again. No one who met Don will forget his infectious sense of humor. He always kept his family and friends laughing. He loved to cook and spend time with family and friends especially his great nieces, Lydia and Charity. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Sibyl (Noragon) Blom, and best friend, Joey Romero. Left to cherish his memory is his brother Darren Blom (and wife, Amber); his sisters Desiree (and husband, Darryl); and Donna Hironymous; nieces, Amy, Alexandria, India; nephews, Tyree, Diego, Darren “DJ”, and Phillip. He is also survived by many extended family. A private celebration of life will be held in his Honor.
