Doris Marie Hunley Casto

Doris Marie Hunley Casto, 82, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024 in Chesapeake, Va. She was born in Virginia to the late Luther Calvin and Marie Dunston Hunley as well as her sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Thompson. Doris’ primary focus in her life was taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a secretary for the Westhaven Boys Home for many years. In her spare time Doris enjoyed arts and crafts and was very talented at doing both cross-stitching and crocheting. An avid cat lover, she adored and loved many cats in her lifetime. She is cherished in memory by her husband of 59 years, Keith Delano Casto; daughter, Annette Griffin and her husband, Tony; son, Michael Casto and his wife, Diane; grandchildren, Meggan Roberts and her husband, Bryan and Bryan Casto and his wife, Stephanie; great grandchildren, Mikey Casto and Leo Casto. She is also cherished in memory by other significant family members and friends. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be a visitation prior to the service to meet and fellowship with the family at 1:30pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
