Doris Mae Wimmer, 90, passed away on June 19, 2021. She was born December 22, 1930 in Salisbury, MD and was the daughter of the late Oscar T. and Stella (Smith) Brown.
Doris was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a remarkable woman, a devoted child of God, and the perfect combination of warmth, kindness, laughter and love. She retired from Continental Insurance Company and loved her job as a secretary. She was a long time member of New Heights Fellowship Church in Norfolk, VA.
Doris is survived by one daughter, Judy Warren and her husband, Paul; grandchildren, Kelli Warren and Brent Warren; nephew, Chris Ward and his wife, Terri.
In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Paul O. Wimmer and her sister, Aline Ward.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Gene Strickland will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Norfolk, VA. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
