Ernesto Navarro Torio passed away at the age of 90 in Virginia Beach on Friday, June 21, 2024. He was born in the Philippines to the late Candido and Consuelo Torio. Ernesto is also predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Lan Ching Jeng Torio. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of the East, which led to his career at the Philippines Stock Exchange as a stockbroker before moving to the United States to join his siblings.
Ernesto is cherished in memory by his children, Mirabel (married to Mar) and Nathaniel (married to Jennifer), his grandchildren Andria, KC, Adrian, and Ashley, and many close family and friends.
The family invites friends to join them in remembering Ernesto on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Norfolk, VA, with a visitation at 3 pm and a service at 4:30 pm. This event will celebrate his life and faith, offering comfort and a time to reflect on his spiritual journey. The family warmly welcomes everyone to a reception following the service to gather, share memories, and celebrate Ernesto’s life.
