Ethel Hudgins Walker

Ethel Walker, 88, passed away on November 6, 2013 with her daughter by her side. She was a strong, loving and devoted Mother and Wife. All who knew her loved her. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Roland A. Walker and sisters, Evelyn Davis and Richie Eaton. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Walker, of Newport News, Virginia. She was born in Mathews County, resided in Norfolk, Poquoson and back to Norfolk for the remainder of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Norfolk and Trinity United Methodist Church of Poquoson.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Harbors Edge, the staff of Hospice and Palliative Care of Tidewater and Edna Burch for their love, devotion and care.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5:30pm on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the funeral home, with burial to Forest Lawn Cemetery.
