Francis Anthony Ferraro

Francis (Frank) Anthony Ferraro, Jr. passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. He was born in Springfield, MA on July 31, 1951. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis Anthony Ferraro, Sr. and Helen Ferraro. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia after 41 years of Civil Service working for the Department of Navy. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Gloria, and son, Anthony. Survivors also include his brothers John (Susan) and Jim (Margaret) and sisters Angela, Catherine, Mary (Todd), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Cross and staff at Virginia Oncology Associates and all the wonderful nurses at Sentara Leigh Hospital and the Sentara Independence Center for the exceptional care, support and love they gave Frank during his battle with cancer. There will be a visitation 6 PM to 8PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA.
