Gerald "Jerry" M. Halley passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and his long-time companion, dog, Suzie. He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio. He served in the Merchant Marines and became the president of his own business; Boiler Cleaning and Specialty Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura. He was survived by three children; Carol (Halley) Malloy, Larry Halley, and John Halley; six grandsons and eight great grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Tuesday night from 6-8pm at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel. The service will be held Wednesday at 11am at Norview Methodist Church.
