Harold Kent Powell, 85, passed away peacefully at home on January 3, 2010. A long time resident of Tidewater and a retiree to Melbourne, Florida. He was predeceased by two loving wives, Julia Belle and Mary Elizabeth. He was a life time builder in the Tidewater area prior to his retirement owning (H.K. Powell Construction Co.)
Left to cherish his memories are his loving daughter, Geraldine Wood and husband John Wood; his faithful pet Duke; Step-Son Alan Thompson; 3 grandson's and their families, David and Lisa Wood, Mike Wood and Michelle Russell, Paul and Suzy Wood; Five great grandsons, Cameron, Josh, Drew, Jason and Nathan Wood, great great granddaughter Cayden Wood and an extended family of 2 great granddaughters Leah and Hanna Russell.
A Viewing will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. from 6 to 9, Tuesday and a service will be held on Wednesday, January 6th at 1:00pm.
