Hazel had an amazing generous heart that made everyone gravitate to her. Everyone loved her from the first time they met her. Her absolute passion in life was to help everyone and volunteer wherever she could. Anyone that knew Hazel knew her love for the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
She was very active in the Virginia Beach community and a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church since 1965. She volunteered with Tidewater Meals on Wheels and the PTA. She was a supporter of the Virginia Beach Schools Vo-Tech. She was on the Special Olympics committee where she donated t-shirts and received many awards. She was a member of the Little Creek Navy Wives and the Kellam Band Booster Club. She also donated to Little Sisters of the Poor.
