Horace L. Martin passed away on May 11, 2018. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service followed by working at the Navy Exchange and the Virginia Beach School System Maintenance Department. He was a member of Appomattox Masonic Lodge # 301. He was preceded in death by his brother Larry Martin. His greatest love and first priority was his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dorothy Jean, his sons, Jimmy and wife, SanDee, Kenneth and his wife, Amy; grandchildren, Michele Nielsen and husband Adam, Keith Martin and his wife, Ashra, and Kimberly Martin: great grandchildren, Raegan Nielsen, Brady Martin, Axel Martin and Garrett Nielsen: brothers, David Martin and Douglas Martin and his sister Jane Hamlett.
Horace’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Visiting Physicians Association and Comfort Care Hospice.
A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502, Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow the service.
