Howard Jackson Greever

Howard J Greever, 90, passed away in Winchester, VA on Thursday, October 6, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Howard was born in Chilhowie, Virginia on April 11, 1932 to the late Ira and Katie Greever. He was also predeceased by his wife of 53 years Ruby J Greever and his siblings, Ruth Dahl, Betty Blackwell and Samuel Greever. He is retired from both the US Navy after 20 years of service and Goodwill Industries. Howard was a long time member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Steven Greever and spouse Lisa Greever; daughter, Debra Barney and spouse Peter Barney; grandchildren, Cory Greever, Stephanie Barnhart and spouse Brian Barnhart, Courtney Vickery, Tyler Greever and Spencer Barney; Great Grandchildren Madison Shoop, Lucas Shoop. Nora Barnhart, Brayden Barnhart; sister Josie Taylor and sisters-in law Effie Shrader, Mary Muzik, Martha Hoskins and Geneva McGuire.

There will be a funeral service conducted at 10am, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Woodlawn Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior starting at 9am to fellowship with the family.
