Our Mom and Dad met while working together at Baker Chemical in Phillipsburg, NJ. Jean, David and family moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1957 and raised their children there. She began working at the Seaboard Citizens National Bank (United Virginia Bank, then Suntrust, now Truist) in 1964 and retired from the Personnel Department in 1985. She made lifelong friendships while working there and always cherished the wonderful people she worked with at the Bank.
Mom was always ready to see her daughters during cocktail hour and had a carafe of her famous cosmos in her freezer at the ready for any visit. We will so miss that special time. She was always excited to have a visit from her son and any of her grandchildren. She was a wonderful Mom and Nana.
A family graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mom loved flowers but would much more appreciate donations to the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia or the Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters. You may offer condolences at www.woodlawnnorfolk.com
