NORFOLK, VA.-John G. Elam, Jr., 82, passed away on Sunday, February 5, in Sentara Leigh Hospital. A native of Virginia, John retired from the Army as a Lt. Col.. He was predeceased by his parents John Elam, Sr. and Susanne Wilson and is survived by his sister; Jacquelin Duncan of Norfolk. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 11:00 am in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
