Mr Pierce & family,  we are sending our thoughts and prayers your way during this difficult time. We are so sorry that we were not able to be with you at the services to celebrate Mrs. Pierce's life (we were out of the country). Mrs. Pierce was such a beacon of light in our young lives at Trinity Baptist and we will cherish the memories of her beautiful smile, quick wit, deep wisdom, and unconditional love. Randall, I am sorry for the physical loss of Joyce.. But I do know she is in the loving arms of God, whole again and able to continue to watch over her wonderful family. She was truly a beautiful person who will be greatly missed!

Words simply don't do justice when trying to share what an impact Mrs. Pierce had to so many.  Her smiling face, kind words, and sense of humor were a constant in my life at Trinity. I have thought of her fondly since leaving the Norfolk area, and enjoyed seeing her on a few occasions when I would visit. I lift Mr. Pierce and the rest of the family up in my prayers as you grieve the loss of this exceptional lady.

Randall, Our hearts are heavy the news was a terrific blow , we cannot begin to imagine how you are feeling ,but know we love you both very much , if there Is anything you need please do not hesitate to let us know. Each sunday your smiling faces  were always ones we would look for ..I'm sure the angels are gathered around her listening to some of her fantastic stories ..prayers for you and your family .

I sat with Joyce and Randall every Sunday when I first started attending the worship service while my mom taught the younger kids in Mission Friends. Dear Randall, It will be hard to get used to seeing only you across the street. Our hearts are truly broken for your loss. I will miss catching you all together outside and getting Joyce's brief updates of whatever her heart was grateful to God for at the moment! It's true that she was always at the ready with a story and a Praise to our Lord. What a fine, fine, Lady! We greatly admire the Christian testimony you all have enjoyed together. I know there aren't words for your loss at this time, but I do know the tremendous Grace of God, and I trust Him to continue to comfort you and your children and grandchildren. Let us all look to that great day coming when we will be joined with Jesus and our loved ones that are beckoning us from the banisters of heaven to finish our race! To Randall and the Family,   Be sad, but not for long. Remember, we will all see Joyce again. She lived a wonderful life, so full of love and good times. A friend to so many, both Linda and I count with rich warmth the times we shared with Joyce. We will miss her, but know she is in God's home. Bless her memory. Bless the many who loved her. We are so glad we shared a path with her on our own journey.

So sorry to hear.  Joyce was such a sweet, wonderful lady.  During our time in Virginia Beach and at Thalia Lynn she made me and my husband feel like her family.  Prayers to Randall and the family.

I was so saddened to hear about Joyce.  She was such a sweet person and she will be greatly missed at church.  And no one could write better stories of warm memories of the past like Joyce! She was one of the constants of my childhood and young adulthood. My condolences to the family.

I am sorry to hear the news of Mrs. Pierce. I know she'll be missed greatly. I have heard stories of this wonderful woman from my Bible Study teacher , David Pierce and from his wife, Anne. May memories be of great comfort.

Scott and I are very sorry for your loss.  We have wonderful memories of Joyce while growing up in Ingleside.  I was always jealous when I heard the bell ring for dinner, knowing a delicious meal and sweet family time would be waiting.  We are praying for your family in the days to come.
