Karen June Lewis

Karen loved children and spent many years babysitting and working in the Virginia Beach City Schools. She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church and the Echoes Choir. She loved feeding the squirrels in her backyard, spending time with family and friends and walking with her loving neighbors. All that knew her adored her, and her friendships were measured in decades, not years.

Karen brought sunshine into her house and made it a loving home for her family. She had a joyful, tender spirit and loved to laugh with her daughters and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Henry Lewis. Her spirit lives on in her three daughters, Patricia Wade (Russell) of Flower Mound, TX, Delvina “Dee” Scruggs of Virginia Beach, VA, and Laura Anderson (Bradley) of Montross, VA; seven grandchildren, Kathleen, Jessica, Chelsea (Zachary), Brady, Abigail, Tanner, Micah; three step grandchildren, Heather (Brandon), Ashley, Daniel; and one step great grandchild Adrienne.

A viewing will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 12:30pm with a chapel service at 1:30pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk.
