Mr. Kenneth Daniel Powers, 74, husband of the late Madgaline W. Powers and a resident of Winton, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in NC. Mr. Powers served in the United States Army and retired from Moon Engineering.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Debra Zartman of Suffolk, Va., Sherry Boorsma of Virginia Beach, Va.; a step-son, Robert Wilson of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Sean Boorsma of Virginia Beach, Va. and his children, Sydney and Payton Boorsma, Kyle Boorsma of Moyock, NC and his son, Kameron Boorsma. He was predeceased by a brother.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at 6309 East Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502 with Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood officiating.
