Lawrence Michael Marsala,

Lawrence Michael Marsala Sr., age 84, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Lawrence was born in Chicago, IL. on May 3rd, 1923 the son of the late Salvatore and Dominica Marsala . Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Mary Solina Marsala and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Mike and Elizabeth Marsala of Virginia Beach, VA, his daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Mike Irving , of Chesapeake his brother and sister-in-law Frank and Rose Marsala and his sister Lil Kural his 3 grandchildren Michael, Angel, and David, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lawrence was a Veteran Of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during WWII in the Asiatic Theatre of Operations. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, and loved to sing ,singing in the church choir. Family and friends are invited for calling hours on Saturday, September 15th, 2007, from 10 -11 am at the Woodlawn Funeral Home and Crematory, 6329 Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk, VA 23502. A funeral service will follow with the Pastor Dave Gibson officiating.
