Linwood Wayne Jennings

Virginia Beach------ Wayne Jennings, 60, On March 9, 2012, our son, husband, father and friend lost his 2 year battle with cancer. Wayne was a strong, courageous man who fought until God felt he should be welcomed into his Holy Kingdom to live in a world without pain. Wayne was retired from Tidewater Plaster and Drywall during 35 year career, and fondly known as the "The GodFather". He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 40 years; Vicki Jennings; his mother, Daisy Meurrens, his brother and sister in law Bobby and Cindy Lacey and family, his 3 children; Crystal and her husband Gabrial Lewis, Misti and her husband Steve Slagle, Jason and his girlfriend Amy and son; five grandgirls; Lacie, Taylor, Hayley, Ava and Lily. He will also be greatly missed by his dearest friend Tanner, his furry four-legged companion. Wayne will always be remembered for his love of music, especially his passion for playing the guitar. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 7:00 pm in the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Pastor Mike Curry will be officiating.
