R.I.P. Marie. I had the pleasure of being in the presence of your contageous smile.

Marie was a wonderful lady!  The other half of a dynamic duo of teachers with her late husband, the Hadleys were so well-thought of at Lake Taylor High School back in the '90's.  I saw Marie recently out shopping, tho' at first I wasn't sure it was her as it was becoming clear her battle was coming to a close.  However, she flashed me that beautiful, impish Marie smile (even tho' I look very different after all these years) and I remembered all the kindness and compassion she gave to her students and colleagues.  As the crowds cheer, Marie has indeed left the building.

It was my privilege to know Marie as a co-worker and as a sorority sister in Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a wonderful teacher who would do anything for her students. Whenver I saw her she was always smiling and full of joy. The world be a little sadder without her in it. My deepest sympathy to her family and close friends.

I wanted to express my condolences on behalf of myself and my mother, Rie Reardon, who passed away last year from cancer. My mom was good friends with Marie and drew so much strength from Marie throughout her own struggle.  Marie's caring and volunteerism at VOA will be long remembered. Marie truly made a difference and she will be missed tremendously!

Marie was one of the most special women I have ever known.  I was so proud to be her Alpha Delta Kappa sister.  Now  she is one of God's angels and, even though I will miss her sweet smile, I am happy that she is in a place where there is no cancer--only good and happy things.  Marie may have left the building, but she will never leave my heart

I knew Marie through a mutual friend and it was easy to see how special she was by the way she was loved by her friend Cetta and her son Brendon. She was a true inspiration and will continue to be.  Cetta and Brendon I am so sorry.  My love and thoughts are with you always.

Brendan, I'm so sorry.  I'm going to miss talking with your mom over the backyard fence.  She was always calm about her life and what she was going through.  I talked with her a week before she went in the hospital and she sounded good.  Our neighborhood won't be the same without her.

It is a sad time for the people of the earth. Marie was such a gentle soul.  She will be missed.

Marie was a wonderful, fun-loving, caring and interesting person and I am extremely happy to have had the great pleasure to know and enjoy her.  She faced obstacles with grace and strength, and the world is a lesser place without her.  A loving mother, sister, daughter and wife, and a former teacher who affected youngsters daily. Brenden and family, it was with great sadness to note Marie's passing.  She was such an inspiration to our family when my son was diagnosed and who shared great courage and wisdom.  She will be greatly missed by all she came in contact with. God bless you all.

Marie Hadley absolutely lit up the world around her; she was love and pure light.  She cared so deeply for people and the "well" of her spirit from which she gave never seemed to run dry.  I will miss her for she blessed my life.  Marie was a precious gift.

Marie and I were Sigma sisters in Alpha Delta Kappa.She had a wonderful sense of humor and we always got in trouble laughing if we sat together in a meeting! We shared a love of cute shoes, animals, and off-color humor. I will miss you, my friend! Love, Nancy

Dear Brendan, Marie loved you so much and was so was very proud of you. You were the sunshine in her life; the beat of her heart; the love of her life; her little boy. We are deeply saddend by Marie's passing.  Marie and Fred were our bike riding and camping buddies and always so much fun to be with. To her family: Marie's spirit will always live in our hearts. We are so sorry for the loss of her earthly presence in your lives but know she is watching over you from Heaven.

Marie was my Angel. She was my support no matter what. I loved her so very much and will miss her. Her light will shine for ever.Her grandchildren Blake and Ryan will also miss her so much they loved her so much. Ryan had a special relationship with grandma Marie. she would ask him if he needed "a treatment" and that meant hugs and kisses were coming.She took them both to the beach when there were little to get shells and they were part of Vacations every year. It will be hard this year Blake graduates and Marie wont be there. we know Marie and Fred will be watching from above. We love you Marie and will miss you every day.You were a true blessing to everyone that knew you.

Brendan - I am so sorry to hear about your mom's passing.  I know how much you loved her and how much you will miss her.  You were such a blessing for her and I know your care helped her live on throughout these years of illness.  To say she is in a better place is so cliche so I will just say she is still with you, always and forever in your heart.  Your in my prayers and lean on God now to help you with your sorrow, because only He and time will heal your heart. Tami
