Mary S. Bunch went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2017. She was born in Gates County, NC to the late Curtis and Charity Spivey and is predeceased by her husband, Roger Bunch and son, Floyd Bunch.
Mary attended Chowan College and spent a career as a Customer Service Technician for Sears Service Center. Mary loved the Lord and was faithful in service at Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church for 25 years teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Later she was an active and devoted member at Kempsville Baptist Church for over 30 years. Church, family and friends were very important to her and this was evident in the time she gave to each.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Sandra Spicer (David) and Sherry Bunch; one sister, Virginia Skipper; granddaughter, Lori Melton (James); great grandchildren, Hailey and Reagan Melton; and daughter-in-law, Susan Bunch.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association and Kempsville Baptist Church.
