Norfolk, VA Mary Frances Thigpen, age 74, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012. She was a native of Pitt County, NC and a former office manager for Dr. Lisa Zocco. Mary was preceded in death by a daughter, Sonya Thigpen. Surviving are a daughter, Ann Thigpen of Portsmouth and a son, Glenn Thigpen and his wife Wendy of Virginia Beach. One brother, John Whitehurst of Winsdor, NC and two grandchildren, Bradley and Ryan Thigpen. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6 to 8PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
