She was employed with Ford Motor Co. for 30 years and was a dedicated past member of Indian River Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son: Travis Whitehurst Sawyer; sisters, Carol Bean (Jim), Martha Frugard, Diane Frederickson (Greg), and Patricia Whitehurst. She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Lena Whitehurst, brother, Tom Whitehurst, and sister, Rose Bolkcom.
A Funeral Service will be December 13, 2014 at 12:30pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
