Michael E. Orton, age 62, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at his home in Norfolk surrounded by his family. He was born August 21, 1954 in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was always dedicated to his family even to the end. He worked for over 40 years and was well respected among his colleagues. He served his country in the US Army. Michael and Mary were married 37 years but together for more than 40.
Left to honor and remember his love and dedication are his wife, Mary, Michael’s three children; Whitney, Michael A., and Lindsay, his only grandchild Laura, and his brothers and sisters, Debbie, Matt, Sharon, Julia, John, Stephanie, and Charlie, as well as many other friends. Michael will always be remembered as a shining light of love, strength, and dedication.
Michael’s funeral will be held, Monday April 10, 2017 at 1 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA. The visitation will be held from 11-1 the same day. Please visit www.woodlawngroup.com to share a memory with the family.
