Michelle Cubitt Kirksey, 53, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on June 24, 2022. She was born February 12, 1969, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Donald Cubitt and the late Christine Brennan Cubitt. Michelle was a graduate of Kempsville High School in Virginia Beach and attended Tidewater Community College. She loved all animals, especially her cats. Her interests included decorating and bargain shopping. Michelle’s greatest passion was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She faithfully and lovingly tended to the needs of family members.
Michelle leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband and longtime love of 28 years, Keith Kirksey; her son Dustin Cubitt; and her father Donald Cubitt, all of Virginia Beach. Also surviving are brothers David Cubitt (Debra) of Chesapeake; and Dennis Cubitt (Rochelle) of Virginia Beach; sister-in-law Kelly Kirksey of Hopewell, Virginia; and brother-in-law J. Thomas Kirksey (Michele) of Houston, Texas. Other survivors include niece Madysen Cubitt; and nephews Devin Cubitt and Jordan Cubitt, all of Virginia Beach; as well as extended family.
A service celebrating Michelle’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Michelle will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Boulevard, Norfolk.
