Norma was a member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church for 52 years and a prayer group at the church. She worked as a hairdresser for 25 years at Taylor Burgess Hair Salon. She also volunteered for 15 years at Lake Taylor doing hair and manicures.
Norma was predeceased by her loving husband Roy Garcia of 38 years. Left to cherish Norma's memory are her sons, Dennis Garcia of Exmore, VA. Charles A Garcia of Virginia Beach, VA. Her 2 grandchildren, Charles A Garcia, Jr and Matthew Garcia. Her four sisters, Dora Pedrosa, Louisa Zavala, Mary Robles and Nelly Berumen and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7800 Halprin Drive, Norfolk with Deacon Walker King officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening, November 10, 2008 from 6 to 8pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home.
