Florida ~ Patricia A. Bostic, age 71, a devoted wife, mother, and granny, passed away July 29 after a long battle with Alzhemimer's Disease. Born in Malden, West Virginia, she was a Navy wife and in the course of 21 years lived in Boston, Philadelphia, Norfolk, Sicily, and Virginia Beach. She moved from Virginia Beach in 1996, to Chumuckla, FL., where she has lived since. She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Chumuckla Methodist Church, Hadji Shire Daughters of the Nile. Patricia is survived by her husband of 53 years, Walter Bostic; sons, Robert, of Goose Creek, SC, Ronald, of Virginia Beach, and Franklin Deaune, of Waynesboro; a granddaughter and six grandsons; brothers, Charles Butler and Richard Butler of West Virginia. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2008 at the gravesite in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-8:00 p.m, Wednesday, July 6 in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the local chapter of the Alzheimer Foundation and to the Shiner's Children Transportation Fund at Hadji or Kedieve Shrine.
