Patrick Cassidy

Norfolk – Patrick Cassidy, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 12, 2015. Born in London, England on March 28, 1936, Patrick was the son of the late Edward Louis and Vida Marie Cassidy. He was a devoted loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Patrick was a dedicated 50 year parishioner of Christ the King Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Patrick was known as the perfect English gentleman. He led a simple life that revolved around his family. Patrick served in the US Army. He worked for Florida Power and continued a career in sales for more than 25 years.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life his wife of 57 years, Claudia A. Cassidy.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Patty Mitchell (Lance), Mike Cassidy (Donna), Teresa Williams (Paul), Edward Cassidy II, Raymond Cassidy (Liz), Monica Pearce (Mitch), Christine Kemper (Keith), Joey Cassidy, and Coleen Cassidy; brother, John Cassidy; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Christ the King Church. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Father Mike Kuhn.
