Ruby Adams Moorefield went home to be with the Lord on July 22, 2012. Ruby was born to the late Walter W. Adams and Callie Ruth Hylton on July 12, 1923 in Patrick County, VA. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Junior Moorefield; her beloved only child, Forrest W. Moorefield; and her dear sister-in-law Nancy Lee Moorefield. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Andrea Moorefield Crews; her granddaughters Bari Moorefield Baumgardner of Murrells Inlet, SC and Holly Moorefield Stanley of Leesburg, VA; sister Doris Tucker of Gastonia, NC; sister and brother-in-law Clarice & Mickey Wright, of Stuart, VA and her much adored great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. She was devoted to her family, friends and church -- she was a doting wife and mother, a loving sister-and-law, a wonderful grandmother, and a loyal friend. She was also an avid gardener, a gifted baker, and a beloved member of Bayside Church of Christ.
Viewing will be held 6pm - 8pm Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 6329 Va. Bch. Blvd. with a funeral service at 11am on Thursday, August 2. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.woodlawngroup.com
