Ruby Noeleen Parks, age 72 passed away in her families home on September 6, 2012. She’s predeceased by parents Noel and Ruby Willcox and her sister Linda Ruward. She was a local wild life artist and art instructor for the City of Norfolk Parks and Recreation for 27 years. Ruby was a long time volunteer of the Fairlawn Advisory Committee, Chesapeake Bay Art Guild, and a member of the Red Hats. She was a loving dedicated Navy wife for 22 years , a native of Lander Wyoming, and has resided in Norfolk since 1965. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 52 years George E. Parks; her daughter Linda Leann Walther and husband Shawn; Brother, James Willcox and wife Fonda; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial services will take place on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6-8pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk VA 23502, with a private interment at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make an honor donation to the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
