Shirlon L. Fritts, 84, of Virginia Beach, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, surrounded by several family members. Shirlon was born in Florida to the late William Hamp and Tera Florence Givens. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Calvin L. Fritts, her son, Michael L. Fritts and 8 siblings, including 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Left to cherish her memory are 5 of her sons, Zyndal, Richard, Kenneth, Christopher, Steven, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Shirlon was a dedicated homemaker raising 6 children. As a devoted follower of Christ, Shirlon was also a talented singer, pianist, and organist who shared her gift of music at many local churches in the Tidewater area.
A Memorial Service for Shirlon will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, January 3, 2025, in the chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Services will be concluded with a burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
