William “Bill” L. Agreste Jr., born May 13, 1954, in Pennsylvania, entered into eternal rest on December 1, 2025, at the age of 71. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents, William Sr. and Ann Pantalo Agreste, and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Candy, and his children: Sheryl Russo (Nick), Gina Highfield (Jarrod), Anthony Agreste (Virginia), and Nick Agreste (Valerie). He also leaves behind his cherished bonus children, Brad Williams (Lauren) and Mary Chavez (Morryzh), who held a special place in his heart. His grandchildren: Jacob Williams, Ashton Russo, BellaGrace Chavez, Jaden Highfield, Sophie Russo, Mia Chavez, Arianah Chavez, Ava Agreste, Rex Agreste, and Ezra Williams. They were the light of his life, each one a source of pride and joy. Bill’s love extended to his loyal fur companions Cookie, Gia, Stella, Gizmo, and Nico, who brought him comfort and happiness every day.
Faith was the cornerstone of Bill’s life. A devoted Christian, he helped build Island Christian Fellowship Church near his home in Hertford, North Carolina, where his spirit of service and love for God touched many lives. His entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly from a young age, beginning with his first door-to-door business as a child. Throughout his life, he built successful ventures including Vulcan Security Systems, Alarmsoft, StreetGlo, and many others, always driven by vision, determination, and creativity.
Bill’s gentle soul was evident in everything he did. He was a man of deep faith, a lover of music, and a friend to all. During his cancer treatments, he found strength and inspiration in songwriting, believing that God guided him to share his heart through music. His songs remain a testament to his resilience, hope, and unwavering belief in God’s plan.
Above all, Bill will be remembered as the best husband, father, grandfather, and friend, a man whose kindness, wisdom, and love touched countless lives. His presence was a blessing, and his memory will forever be cherished.
