Albert “Al” Raymond Maeder III passed away April 16, 2012 in Norman, OK. Al was born to Albert Raymond Maeder II and Carolyn Joyce Maeder September 22, 1959 in Cambridge, England where they were stationed with the military. Being a part of a military family, Al lived in numerous places throughout his life including Illinois, Texas and Panama finally settling in Oklahoma when Al was in his mid-teens.
Al graduated from OU with honors securing a degree in Aerospace Management and went to work for Tinker Air Force Base following graduation, where he was currently the Director of Process Control and Improvement Division. He was also a member of OU Engineer’s Club and Trinity Lutheran Church.
Al was preceded in death by his father; sister, Melanie Rose Maeder.
He is survived by his mother Carolyn Joyce Maeder; loving wife Martha and children: Selena Joan Thomas and husband Dack, Melanie Jane Maeder, Albert Raymond Maeder IV, and Rebecca Joyce Maeder; brothers Mark Maeder and wife Tammy, Dan Maeder and wife Susie; sister Angela Cunningham and husband Gary. He is also survived by two Grandchildren; Riley and Brogan Thomas as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
