

Alma O. Blair, 66, of Norman, died on September 18, 2010 in Norman. Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Northeast Baptist Church in Norman. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service. Alma was born on November 8, 1943 in Clinton, Oklahoma to William and Frances Echols. Mrs. Blair has lived in the Norman area for most of her life. She married Clifford J. Blair on December 20, 1979 at the First Baptist Church of Moore.
Alma was an avid artist, professional photographer, musician and was a proud member of the Writers Guild having published several romance novels and periodicals. She shared her passion for writing with others as she taught writing classes at the Moore-Norman Technology Center. She was a member of Northeast Baptist Church and loved to sing in the church choir. Throughout her life she was involved in various Humane Society Organizations. She had a strong passion for the welfare of animals and was a pro-life supporter.
Alma is survived by her children; two sisters, Leona Penner and Darlene Moore; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one half brother, Mike Echols; and two half sisters; Marie Roden and Irene Watts.
