C.E. "Chalk" Richards

He was a graduate of University High School in Norman and served in the U.S. Navy Reserves. He was a member of the NRA, ORA, and a charter member of the North America Hunting Club.

He married Charlene Burns on October 14, 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary K. (Schader) Reynolds in 1992; and a daughter, Rosemary Coggin in 2006.

He is survived by his wife of the home; five sons, Victor Richards and his wife Sharon of Montrose, Colorado, Robert Richards, Randy Richards, Russell Richards, and Tane and his wife Carlene Madden all of Norman; two daughters, Valerie and her husband Wayne Sailors of Houston, Texas, Sharon and her husband Jack Hicks of Seiling; three sisters, Dee and her husband Bill Powell of Carlton, Georgia, Carolyn Dedrick of Seiling, Lin and her husband Huey Seyfarth of Gulf Breeze, Florida; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 28 at the Primrose Chapel followed with a private burial at Norman IOOF Cemetery. Viewing has been arranged for Sunday and Monday from 8:00 AM to 8:00PM at Primrose Funeral Service.
