Danny R. Wheeler

Danny Richard Wheeler, 67, passed away Sunday September 12, 2021, in Norman, Oklahoma. He was born in Norman, Oklahoma to Roy C. Wheeler and Jeannene C. Wheeler on February 13, 1954. At a young age he moved to Blanchard, Oklahoma. He graduated from Blanchard High School.

Danny began his work career at Blanchard Schools, and worked there many years. He currently worked at Red Rock BHS.

Danny met wife, Lisa while they both worked at Blanchard Schools. They were united in marriage on July 25, 1987. To this union, their daughter Megan was born, completing their sweet family.

In his spare time, Danny enjoyed painting, crafting, reading, OU football, watching superhero movies and watching art tutorials on YouTube. He was a creative, talented artist that loved painting on canvas and wood. Danny’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family. He had a zest for life and never met a stranger. Danny was always positive, he always had a smile on his face and loved to make people laugh. He touched many lives. Danny was baptized at a young age and was a Christain.

He was preceded in death by his father Roy C. Wheeler, many other family members, and beloved cat Annabelle.

Danny is survived by wife Lisa Wheeler and Daughter Megan Wheeler, mother Jeannene C. Wheeler, sister Danette Wheeler and her daughter Michele, and brother Robert Wheeler. He is also survived by sister-in-law Dana Domstead her husband Jon and their sons Grant and Ryan, brother-in-law Mark Barrett, and precious cat Sophie.

His family loves him and will miss him very much.

Visitation with family and friends will be at Primrose Funeral Service on Thursday September 23, 2021 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be Friday September 24, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Primrose Chapel. Interment at IOOF Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma.
