

The family of Don would like to thank everyone that sent flowers, and came to the memorial of Don. "He always walked tall and will never be forgotten". and told us to do the same.

Local Business owner Don H. Barker of Norman passed away on January 28, 2017, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years.
Don H. Barker was born on January 11, 1938, in Millsap, Texas. He grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas attending Wichita Falls Public Schools, and graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1955. He entered the United States Navy and married Audrey Mae VanZandt on December 31, 1954, in Wichita Falls, Texas. In 1958 he discharged from the Navy and returned with his family to Wichita Falls, Texas. He then began working for Nortex. He received his petroleum engineering degree from Borger Junior College in the early 60’s. In 1969 he was transferred to Oklahoma City to Undrey Pump Company retiring in 1980. He then began Central Pump Company in Norman, Oklahoma. He enjoyed skeet shooting, loved water skiing, and his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Don is survived by his wife Audrey Barker of Norman; two daughters, Deborah Lynn Doyle and husband Stan of Bethany, and Hope Barker of Norman; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one sister, Eva Sue Throwbridge of Trenton, Florida.
The family will greet friends Wednesday February 1, 2017, at Primrose Funeral Service from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Services will be on Thursday, February 2, 2017, at 11:00 am at Journey Church in Norman, with Pastor Allan Sample officiating.
