

Services for Elizabeth Mary Waters, 92, Norman, who died Friday, July 25 of natural causes, will be held Tuesday, July 29, 10:00 a.m. at Robinson Street Baptist Church, 801 E. Robinson. Bill Blair will officiate. Viewing will be on Monday July 28, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Primrose. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Norman.
Mrs. Waters was born in Claremont, NH, on May 4, 1922, and lived in Norman since 1960, except for a brief stationings in California and Hawaii, as she followed her career-Navy husband mostly along the east coast prior to that.
Mrs. Waters is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Stephen and Elaine Waters, Ronnie Paul and Beverly Waters, James Michael and Lucy Ann Waters; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Black and son-in-law Gregory Black of Colorado, Sharon Lucille Waters, and Joyce Carolyn Collard of Norman.
She retired after a long career at Norman Regional Hospital. She spent a lot of her time gardening and enjoyed her few cat and dog companions, and especially enjoyed time doing volunteer work. She is especially proud of her ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Waters was preceded in death by her husband Edward John Waters; son, Robert Franklin Waters; parents Michael Nilo, and Annis Nilo; brothers, Bob Kintzel, Tony, Jimmy, and Alfonzo Nilo, and sisters, Josephine and Anna Nilo.
