Fern Elliott Amos-Lane was born on July 19, 1933, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Richard and Jessie (Hickman) Clark. As a young child she was saved at the age 10 years old at the Missionary Baptist Church in Hickory, Oklahoma, and was baptized in a pond near by the church. She was a buyer for Corken International retiring after 25 years.
She is survived one son, Russell Elliott; grandchildren, Stephanie Kilmer, Meredith Salaisaw, Bethanie Williams; and numerous great grandchildren and three nephews;
Fern would like to express a sincere thank you to her church, Bethel Baptist Church for all the calls, cards, visits, food and letters during her illness, and also a very special thank you to Jean Stinson, Rachel Brooks, Doris, Dooworth, and Wanda Mayfield for the many hours of sitting and caring for her.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 10:00 am at the Bethel Baptist Church in Norman, with Rev. James Ehrlich, Rev. Matt Brown and Chaplain Tom Amos officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
