

George Kenneth Sites, of Norman, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.George was born on February 22, 1928 in Erick, Oklahoma to parents A.J. and Lue Sites. He married Billie Jean Brooks of Texola, Oklahoma in 1950. He graduated in 1952 from Stillwater A&M (before it became OSU) with an Agricultural Engineering Degree. From 1952 to 1954, as a Second Lieutenant with the Army Corps of Engineers, he served in Korea as a combat engineer. He worked for and retired from the Soil Conservation Service (now known as the Natural Resource Conservation Service) as an Area Engineer. His career began in Altus, Oklahoma in 1956, and then he was moved to the Oklahoma City Area in 1961, where he retired in 1985. Funeral services will be 10am Friday 10/17/2014 at Primrose Chapel, with interment at 3pm in Erick Cemetery in Erick Okla.
Viewing will be Thursday 10/16/2014 from 8am to 8pm at Primrose Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his wife Billie Jean Sites, who died January 8, 2013. He is survived by his sons: Harold G. Bass and wife Randy of Sunray Texas; and Garry K. Sites and wife Cassandra of Stillwater; daughter Georjana K. Mauldin and husband Tim of Norman. Grandchildren: Geoffrey Kyle Sites; Rebecca Michelle Sites; Kimberly Dean Parker and husband Thomas; Whitney Jo McCright and husband Tim; and Wade Bass and wife Lana. Great Grandchildren: Taylor and Sydney Parker, Gentri and Reegan Bass and Jaytin and Justin McCright.

Services will be held at Primrose Funeral Chapel at 1109 N. Porter in Norman, Ok and burial will be at Erick Cemetery in Erick, Ok. Services will be under the direction of Primrose funeral Service.
