At the age of 14, J.C. and his family moved to Victoria, Texas, where he graduated from high school. After graduation he joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam Conflict. After completing his military service, he settled in Norman, Oklahoma. He took up employment as an exterminator with Terminex, where he worked for 30 years serving the Oklahoma City metro area.
He is survived by his spouse Marilyn Daniel; daughter Michele Biddle; two grandsons and two granddaughters; aunt Ruth Brown; as well as numerous cousins.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, as well as his son Christopher James Ayers.
