She was born November 2, 1917 in Cleveland County to John Frank and Myrtle Maud (Barton) Kasbaum. She married Earl Danner on January 8, 1937 in Norman.
Joyce was a graduate of University High School on the University of Oklahoma Campus. She taught bible school for many years, was a phenomenal seamstress, loved to garden and was an avid reader of not only the Bible but had read over 70 novels by Phyllis A. Whitney, who characterized her writings as romantic novels of suspense.
Survivors include her sons: Thomas Danner, Jr. of Norman, Douglas (Ruthee) Danner of Norman, Ken (Linda) Danner of Norman; siblings: Eloise June, Bertha Jean, John Fredrick, Henry Vernon and Martha Patricia; 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings: Telma Liene, Geneva Inez, Edith Catherine, and Samuel Quincy.

Graveside service will be held at 10am Thursday May 14, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Park, Norman Oklahoma.
