Julie Marie Zimmerman

Julie was born Dec. 14, 1997, in Oklahoma City, OK and lived her entire life in Norman, OK. She loved animals-especially small dogs, computers, Minecraft, and anything green or miniature. Julie was artistically creative and was always creating something: house plans, drawings, beading, clay sculptures, or origami. She enjoyed going to concerts, and making road trips to IKEA and the Container Store. She had an opportunity to travel to Europe and greatly enjoyed seeing the different cultures. Julie played the violin for seven years and was excited about making the top orchestra in school. She was looking forward to graduating High School and going to college.

Julie is survived by her father and step-mother, Joseph and Rebecca Zimmerman, Norman; her mother, Larinda Zimmerman and fiancé Kris Hicks, Midwest City; paternal grandparents Howard and Lydia Zimmerman, Norman; maternal grandmother, Verlie Perez and husband Sergio Perez, Chickasha; and paternal grandfather Jerry Lindsey and wife Tina Reed, Choctaw.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Christopher Lee Johnson, Chickasha.

Contributions in memory of Julie may be made to the Second Chance Animal Sanctuary in Norman.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave. Norman OK. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday August 19, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1506 W Imhoff Rd, Norman, OK 73072. Private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman, OK.
