Karen Ann Scherschligt was born on January 8, 1955, in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Raymond and Marjorie (Moran) Marion. She grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, She attended and graduated from O’Gorman High School in 1973. She married David Scherschligt on July 21, 1978, and they made their home Lincoln, Nebraska, where she began driving a school bus for St. Mary’s Catholic School. In 1992 they moved to Norman where she began working for the Norman Public Schools on her bus “Snoopy”. Her highlights were transporting the special needs children, going to movies, spending time with her family and pets, and making people laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Larry and Anna Haga; one sister, Kathy Marion; two brothers, John Marion, and Infant brother; and her beloved dog Lilly.
She is survived by her husband, David Scherschligt of the home; three daughters, Jonna Scherschligt of Norman, Oklahoma, Rainbo Scherschligt of Norman, Oklahoma, and Rachelle Scherschligt – Ingram and son- in law, Chris of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one son, Jesse Scherschligt of Texas; grandsons, Andrew and Collin; and one brother, Richard Marion of Omaha, Nebraska.
