It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kristen Pierozak, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Born on June 26, 1982 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, Kristen lived a life full of adventure, curiosity, and love.
Kristen was the cherished daughter of James Alan Blackard and Madeline Lucille Washburn. She was baptized at Harrah First Baptist Church and grew up in McLoud, Oklahoma. She later made her home in Goldsby, Oklahoma. Kristen pursued her education at Rose State College, earning an Associate degree, and continued her studies at Oklahoma University. Kristen's early ambitions led her to take on leadership roles in high school, culminating in her achievement as valedictorian.
She married the love of her life, Gauthier Pierozak, on May 5, 2007. Their love story began in the most unexpected way, a shared love for alternative rock music brought them together through their favorite band’s message board in 2005. Despite living hundreds of miles apart, an invitation to a Halloween party in Moore sparked a connection that blossomed into a deep and enduring love. They realized they were soulmates, perfectly complementing each other in every way. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, music, travels, and love.
Kristen's greatest joy was her family, and she cherished raising her two wonderful children, Gavin and Gage. She celebrated their achievements with immense pride, from Gavin's mastery of the piano to Gage's creativity and artistic talent. Kristen believed in prioritizing the people in her life above all else, inspiring everyone she met not to take life too seriously and to find joy in the little things.
Kristen's recent career as a real estate agent was marked by a highly successful first year, reflecting her dedication and skill. She also held roles as a soccer coach and PTA secretary, always finding ways to contribute to her community.
Known for her playful spirit and love of witty humor, Kristen brought laughter and joy to those around her. She enjoyed music, travel, books, and project planning. Kristen’s favorite color was teal because it reminded her of the beauty of the ocean, perfectly capturing her vibrant and full-of-life personality. Among the many places she visited, Scotland held a special place in her heart because of its breathtaking and serene beauty.
Kristen will be remembered for her ability to bring people together, her kindness, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy is one of warmth, laughter, and a reminder to prioritize the people we love.
Kristen is survived by her husband, Gauthier, and their two sons, Gavin and Gage Pierozak, all of the home. She is also survived by her parents, James Jr. and Madeline Blackard; her siblings, Heather West and Addie Woodruff; and her grandparents, Harold Washburn and Lou Clark. She leaves behind countless friends and extended family who will treasure her memory. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James Sr. and Cleo Blackard.
Memorial donations for Kristen can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in honor of her compassionate and generous spirit.
A celebration of life for Kristen will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.
