

Linda “Bert” Roberta Nance Brewer, 74, of Choctaw, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2024. Bert was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 28, 1950 to Robert Junior Nance and Ruby Del (Schubert) Nance. Bert graduated from Moore High School in 1968 and moved to Choctaw, Oklahoma in 1979.
In 1982, Bert was introduced to Jerry Brewer, who was the love of her life. After several years of courtship, they married on July 9, 1988, and spent a wonderful 42 years together.
During the 1980s, Bert enjoyed time with her horses Candy and Rebel and participating in barrel racing, showing quarter horses, competitive trail rides and being part of the Choctaw Round-Up Club Drill Team.
Bert was employed as a Data Entry Specialist at Star Manufacturing Company for 37 years and retired in 2016.
After retirement, Bert’s priorities were her family and friends and cheering her grandchildren on at their events. Bert enjoyed the outdoors, especially working in her flower beds and looking for treasures while “thrifting” and repurposing her “finds” for those special people in her life.
Bert loved all the animals she owned during her lifetime and was an avid donor to the Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue in Jones, Oklahoma.
Countless people were impacted by Bert’s selflessness, passion and dedication to living life to the fullest.
Bert is preceded in death by her parents, brother Rob Kelly, and sister Portcias Kelly.
Those left to cherish Bert’s memory are her husband Jerry Brewer of the home; son Jay Baker and wife Angie Baker of Choctaw, Oklahoma; son Bobby Brewer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; son Tommy Brewer and wife Beth Anne Brewer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother Rick Nance and wife Tammy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Louise Rowland and husband Carroll Rowland of Lexington, Oklahoma; sister Cheryl Monasco and husband Skip Monasco of Mustang, Oklahoma, grandchildren Troy Johnston, J.T. Baker, Deven Brewer, Keaton Baker, Elijah Brewer, and Savannah Brewer; 5 great-grandchildren; lots of nieces and nephews; and her two furbabies.
A memorial service for Bert will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 N Porter Ave, Norman, Oklahoma 73071.
