Linda grew up in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School. She went on to earn her real estate and LPN licenses, and spent much of her life working as a food service manager. She also owned her own business at one point. Linda’s love for her family and her zest for life was evident in everything she did. She cherished the simple pleasures, such as a beautiful fall day surrounded by loved ones.
A true Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac fan, Linda loved vibrant colors, with blues, purples, and pinks being among her favorites. Her laughter was contagious, often sparked by watching cat videos or a good comedy show. Those who knew her best will remember her as a kindhearted, empathetic soul who was always ready to lend a listening ear.
Above all, Linda adored her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind her daughter, April Trumbo and her spouse, Scott, of Purcell, Oklahoma; her son, Michael Young of Norman, Oklahoma; her son, Erin Young and his spouse, Heather, of Norman, Oklahoma; and her brother, Robert "Bobby" Joyner and his spouse, Norma, of Spring, Texas. Linda also leaves a legacy in her grandchildren: Ashley Howell and her spouse, Justin; Christina Trumbo; Alyssa Trumbo; Allison Young; Hannah Young; Kaitlyn Young; and Ray Young; as well as her three great-grandchildren, Harper Howell, Hannah Howell, and Ellis Hodge. She is also survived by her niece, Anna, and two nephews, Robby and Andrew.
Linda’s life was further brightened by the love of her fur baby, Little Dude the cat. The family extends their gratitude to her special caregiver, Robert "Bob" Joyner of Georgia, for his support and care.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Terrel and Mary Joyner.
Linda will forever be remembered for her warmth, her kindness, and the love she shared with everyone she met.
