She was born June 13, 1926, in Sparks, Oklahoma, to Jake and Ada (Earlabaugh) Collins. She married William Nolan Ross on September 19, 1943 who was employed as an auto-mechanic and later a watch and clock repairman until he retired. They had two children, Ann and Dorothy. In 1957 Loretta became a beautician and was self-employed until 1997, retiring after 40 years. She was a volunteer at Norman Regional Hospital for many years enjoying giving back to her community. She was known to be kind-hearted, intuitive, instinctive and innovative, knowing what to do and how to do it with a deep inner-strength.
She was preceded in death her husband; parents; two sisters: Betty Lou and Nadine; one brother: Bobbie; and one grandson: Roger Steely.
She is survived by two daughters: Ann and Dorothy; two sisters: Zola Butler and husband, Paul and Sylesta Wilkerson and husband Ken; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at Norman IOOF Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24 from 8-10 am at Primrose Funeral Service.
