

Louis James Neer Jr. Aka LJ or Ace, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma was born July 14, 1948. He graduated from Elmore City High School. He was attending his freshman year at ECU when he went to the United States Army. He was sent to Vietnam where he was wounded and received a purple heart, Then to Korea. Louis started selling encyclopedias and won a trip to Ireland. He had many adventures and stories to tell. Louis later bought a beautiful treasured blue Thunderbird from a customer who liked his cooking. He loved woodworking and photography. He photographed many people and places around the world. He worked on a lot machines and pool tables pinball being his favorite. He was a wonderful gardener and his hard work produced wheelbarrows & 5 gallon buckets of produce which were featured numerous times in the newspaper. He always provided family and friends with lots of wonderful produce. Louis was a very intelligent man. If you sat and talked with him, you would soak up so much knowledge if you would just listen and NOT interrupt him. He was often referred to by family as Mr. Professor, Which he could have been if he would have stayed in college. Louis and his wife Maudie loved to fish and can all the wonderful produce.
Louis was Married to Maudie Tucker Neer on April 13, 1990 until her death in 2019. They were married 29 years. He married late in life and she was his forever. Maudie’s love for Christ was instrumental in Louis accepting the Lord.
Louis passed Jan 4, 2026. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Maudie Neer, parents Louis Neer Sr., Lucille Neer and many other family members. Louis is survived by many family members.
Funeral Services will be held and officiated on January 24, 2026, at 10 AM at 12 Corners Baptist Church (15601 E Etowah Rd. Noble, OK 73068) followed by burial at Whitebead cemetery Pauls Valley, OK. If you would like to attend and show your respect to Louis James Neer Jr.
